A waxwork of British singer, Adele is now on display at Madame Tussauds. The waxwork as you can see in the pics look so real, although critics are saying that it looks much slimmer than the real Adele.
The finished product was unveiled at the renowned London attraction on Wednesday and appeared to have been modelled on Adele’s appearance at the 2012 Grammy Awards, in the same black lace dress with a sheer polka dot neckline and sleeves.
London native, Adele has been honoured by the museum following her Grammy and Academy Award triumph with James Bond song Skyfall.
Madame Tussauds PR manager Nicole Fenner admits their decision to include Adele amongst its line-up of celebrity waxworks was based on public demand from visitors to the hugely popular tourist attraction. Fenner said in a statement:
‘Adele is the perfect addition to the line-up here in London. She’s one of the hottest properties right now and one of our most requested personalities.
In fact we’ve seen a huge increase in requests for her figure since Skyfall was released and the timing seems perfect to honour her after such phenomenal success with the song.
She is one of the most influential British female artists and we know she is going to be a huge hit with our guests alongside other pop greats. We’re very excited to welcome her to Madame Tussauds London.’
The waxwork will join a series of other successful recording artists at Madame Tussauds in London and Amsterdam later this month – amongst them Rihanna, Beyonce and the late Amy Winehouse.
